What to Expect
Many will agree that the number one rule in real estate location, location, location applies to all of Palm Beach; however, nowhere is this truer than Midtown. Within close proximity to the famed Worth Avenue, properties in this area are highly desirable due to its superb shopping and dining options.
Worth Avenue provides a lively, community-centric atmosphere teeming with culture and luxury. The neighborhood is known for hosting plenty of annual events, ranging from the Wine and Food Festival to the annual Pet Parade.
Despite its relatively small size, Midtown offers a wealth of attractions, particularly ones rich in history. Nestled in the Gilded Age estate of Henry Flagler is the Flagler Museum, an ornate and opulent setting for a host of ever-changing cultural exhibitions. Another piece of turn-of-the-century beauty is the magnificent Breakers Resort, the hotel favored by various Rockefellers, Vanderbilts, and Astors in the early 20th century. Historical walking tours of Worth Avenue emphasize that this hub of luxury has a long tradition of style and grandeur. Royal Palm Way, often referred to as “Bankers Row,” houses world-renowned commercial tenants ranging from national and international financial companies and banks to numerous professional services.
If you still haven't gotten your cultural fix, you can try the Society of the Four Arts, which includes an art gallery, concert hall auditorium, and the famed Four Arts Botanical Garden, where fragrant ylang-ylang, jasmine, and begonias perfume your visit.
In addition to its historical locales, Midtown also has more modern attractions. Recently, the Royal Poinciana Plaza (often referred to as simply The Royal) has greatly added to this area’s appeal with a wide array of boutiques, specialty stores, and restaurants.
Located in the heart of the island, Midtown is filled with culture and brilliance one could only find in Palm Beach. Single-family homes, townhomes, and prized condominium properties that constitute the area are just steps away from the upscale shopping and exquisite dining options on Worth Avenue.
