$110 Million Sale Closes Next to Bezos' Indian Creek Estate

$110 Million Sale Closes Next to Bezos' Indian Creek Estate

  • 06/11/25

According to The Wall Street Journal, one of the most exclusive corners of South Florida just added another headline-making transaction to its growing list. A roughly 2-acre waterfront parcel on Indian Creek Island, famously adjacent to several properties owned by Jeff Bezos, is now under contract for $110 million.

While many expected Bezos himself to acquire the land to expand his growing compound, the buyer turned out to be an international finance executive, according to builder Manny Angelo Varas, who designed a proposed 25,000-square-foot residence for the site. The deal is expected to close mid-June.

Originally listed in late 2024 for $200 million, the parcel’s price was gradually reduced before landing at $130 million. The current buyer secured the property for $110 million — a price that still represents a remarkable leap from the $27.5 million paid for the land back in 2018.

The seller’s identity remains private, with public records showing the land was held under a limited liability company.

Indian Creek Island is no stranger to marquee names or record-breaking sales. Jeff Bezos now owns three properties on the island, including:

  • A $68 million mansion (acquired June 2023)

  • A neighboring $79 million home (purchased October 2023)

  • An $87 million property on the opposite side of the island (added in 2024)

The cumulative effect of these acquisitions has only intensified the island’s reputation as "Billionaire's Bunker," a title earned through decades of discretion, exclusivity, and world-class waterfront real estate.

Despite market fluctuations across South Florida, Indian Creek continues to operate in a league of its own. This most recent transaction reaffirms the island’s enduring appeal among the world’s wealthiest buyers.

Indian Creek isn’t just about prestige; it’s about lifestyle. The 300-acre private island offers unparalleled security, with its own police force, an 18-hole golf course, and just over 30 homes. It’s a place where privacy isn’t a feature — it’s a standard.

As high-net-worth buyers continue to seek security, privacy, and long-term value in their real estate investments, neighborhoods like Indian Creek are increasingly drawing global attention. While not every property on the island commands nine figures, this sale reminds us that ultra-prime waterfront real estate remains highly competitive.

For buyers and investors observing the Miami luxury market, the message is clear: Indian Creek is not just holding value—it’s defining it.
